System Level Design and Verification of Wireless Embedded Systems

When designing embedded wireless technologies for worldwide deployment, it is important to consider the different regional regulatory requirements which can impact these embedded system designs. Regulations vary around the world for unlicensed radio control and telemetry. This application note outlines a series of measurements on a 900 MHz band radio system to confirm that it complies with rules for unlicensed spectrum in Europe (under ETSI EN300 220) or North America (under FCC rule 15.247). It also gives examples of the MDO4000's capability to make RF measurements while displaying synchronized SPI bus transactions.
