Battery systems are made of individual battery cells combined in series and parallel into modules, then those modules into packs. Modules are commonly joined with a “busbar” that is basically just a big piece of metal with a low resistance. The welds that join individual cells and modules together and to the busbar represent a point of failure, especially for demanding applications like EVs. Tektronix has the fastest solution for the most accurate busbar weld resistance measurements using the power of Keithley TSP. The 3706A is also a fantastic switching/DAQ system for a range of measurements.
