How to open saved RSA306/B, RSA500 or RSA600 Series .r3a or .r3f files in MATLAB?

Option 1: You can play back .r3f files with Tektronix SignalVu-PC VSA software application (version 3.6.0043 or greater).  The base SignalVu-PC VSA software is a free program and is available for download at www.tektronix.com/downloads (search for SignalVu-PC VSA).  Option SV56 (not free) adds the playback of recorded files (requires 300 MB/sec read rate from storage for live rate playback).  Once you have installed the SignalVu-PC SVA, you can enable a 30 day trial of option SV56.

Option 2: You can use the RSA300/500/600 API function calls to interface the RSA Signal Analyzer with Microsoft Windows applications.  With the API you can play back files that were recorded in the 3rf file. The data formatting information for the .r3a and .r3f files is located in the RSA306, RSA306B, RSA503A, RSA507A, RSA603A, RSA607A Application Programming Interface (API) programmer manual.
