Can I use the SSIO-24 with the KPCMCIA-PIO24-C?

Yes, the digital I/O of the KPCMCIA-PIO24-C can be used to control output relays or to monitor the state of input relays on the SSIO-24.

Since the KPCMCIA-PIO24-C does not provide 5VDC from the computer that the SSIO-24 can use for the logic chips, an external 5VDC power supply is always required.

In contrast to use with ISA or PCI plug-in boards, the jumper between terminals labeled as + and PC on the SSIO-24 should remain in place and apply the external power supply. Since the KPCMCIA card does not connect the PC's power supply to the SSIO-24, it is necessary to feed the external supply to both the logic chips and to the logic side of the solid state relays.
