CASE INFORMATION

Case information

The 2-HC is a ruggedized, waterproof and dust tight (MIL-C-4150J) transit case specifically designed to provide travel and storage protection for the 2 Series MSO instruments.

The case protects instruments from shock, vibration, and moisture. It also has room for the accessories such as; AC-DC power supply, power cord, external ground cable, probes, DUT boards, and documentation.

The case consists of a heavy duty outer shell and an inner layer of foam. The inner foam consists of a permanent ring of foam and three removable foam pieces.

Pack the stand in the transit case

The 2 Series MSO stand fits underneath the instrument in the case with a foam insert securing it in place.

Procedure

  1. Place the instrument stand in the case with the screw side facing down.
  2. Place the foam insert in the case and position it so the bottom of the foam fits into the center hole in the stand.

Pack the instrument in the transit case

The 2 Series MSO instrument fits above the stand in the case with two foam inserts, depending on the attached accessories.

Procedure

  1. Place the instrument shaped foam insert on top of the stand in the case.
    If you have installed the battery pack (2-BP) or kickstand to your instrument, do not add this foam insert.
  2. Place the rectangle outline foam insert into the case.
    This foam insert surrounds the instrument and keeps it from moving when the case is in transit. If you have attached the protective case (2-PC) to your instrument, do not add this foam insert.
  3. Place your instrument into the case.
  4. Place your accessories in the remaining four foam slots.
