Question :
Does Tektronix have a 12-bit oscilloscope?
Réponses :
Yes! Tektronix offers many different models of real-time oscilloscopes that provide 12-bit or greater vertical resolution for a variety of applications.
Because many high-vertical-resolution oscilloscopes on the market have technical trade-offs such as low waveform capture rates and low sample rates, it is important to consider all of the performance characteristics when selecting an oscilloscope.
The 5 Series MSO and 5 Series MSO Low Profile oscilloscopes have a 12-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) on each input channel. These products provide up to 8 analog channels and bandwidths up to 2 GHz. The 6 Series MSO oscilloscopes provide 4 channels with bandwidths up to 8 GHz.
Other oscilloscopes use high-sample-rate, 8-bit ADC hardware and hardware real-time Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to increase vertical resolution by trading off horizontal resolution. This HiRes acquisition mode uses DSP to increase the vertical resolution up to 16 bits while reducing the analog bandwidth. These techniques are covered in an application note called "Tools to Boost Oscilloscope Measurement Resolution to More than 11 Bits".
Finally, the Tektronix DSA8300 equivalent-time sampling oscilloscope uses 16-bit ADCs and acquires repetitive electrical signals at >70 GHz bandwidth!
