Question :
Temperature: Can the 7702 be used for measuring temperature with thermocouples?
Answer :
- By using the simulated CJC reference. This can be valuable when only the relative temperature rise is of interest, rather than the absolute temperature.
- By using an external CJC reference placed inside the module. This can be accomplished with an RTD or thermistor connected to channel #1. All T/Cs are then compensated for against this reference.
- By using an external CJC placed in a thermocouple 'patch panel.' This method is similar to the above description.
