Question :
My scope seems to pick-up noise from the air. The probe is shorted with a very short lead between input and ground at the probe tip. The lead was only a little bit longer than the distance between input and ground.
Answer :
Any of our scopes will pick noise off the air when you short the probe tip to ground. This creates an antenna and the stronger the EMI is in his area the more noise the scope will display.
