Possible reasons for failure to restore include:

  • Poor media quality – DVD’s maybe scratched or otherwise damage
  • Defective DVD reader
  • Not waiting for disk to spin up to speed before clicking “OK” button
  • Restoring onto the wrong hard drive
  • Hard drive contains data that conflicts with restore partitions - may need to delete data and re-format HD.
