What is the description of the data placed in an oscilloscope "Mathcad", "MATLAB" formatted header file?

Question :

What is the description of the data placed in an oscilloscope "Mathcad", "MATLAB" formatted header file?

Answer :

The Mathcad, or MATLAB files saved by Tektronix Windows based Oscilloscopes with the hdr.dat file extension have a five line header with the structure as follows:

RecordLength := header0                               Number of acquired data points
TimePerPoint := header1                               Time between data samples
TriggerPosition := header2                             Index to the trigger position in the data record
FractionalTriggerPos := header3                    Fraction of a sample interval to the trigger position

Horizontal Offset in Seconds :=header4        Time position of the first sample in the data record

The sample values are then listed in the .dat file.
