What is Dark Level Compensation and how do I do it?

Question :

What is Dark Level Compensation and how do I do it?

Answer :

Dark Level Compensation is used to compensate for internally generated offset (dark level) signals and remove them. Access this control from the Optical Vertical Setup dialog box.

This compensation is associated with optical measurements such as Extinction Ratio and performing this is recommended before any critical measurements are taken.
