Question :
Specs: How does a SourceMeter instrument differ from a DMM?
Answer :
Traditional DMMs generally only measure the result of a certain physical phenomena, such as AC voltage, DC current, resistance, frequency, or temperature. The SourceMeter products have built-in sources that can source voltage or current to the device under test (DUT), then the measurement circuitry measures the result. Therefore, this allows testing a resistor/resistance with a custom voltage or current.
