Is the SA (Spectrum Analyzer) in the 3 Series MDO field upgradable?

Yes, the SUP3 SA3 (3 GHz) is field upgradable by customers. Any instrument can upgrade the SA input frequency to up to 3GHz using this quick process in the field. After entering the new license key into the 3 Series MDO, the according SA option will be permanently enabled based on the instrument model number and serial number provided.

The option SA1 (1GHz) is now standard to the 3 Series MDO.  In order to enable it, simply register the 3 Series MDO and it will generate a new key to enable the SA1 option.
