I have tried to capture a single trigger window record. I see it trigger and get a trace but I don't get the resolution that I should for the record length that I have selected. What should I check?

Question :

Answer :

The DSA has a limited acquisition memory. Once the record length of both the main and window record and/or the pre-trigger time exceeds that acquisition memory size, the DSA goes into ET mode. There is a formula for calculating the amount of pre-trigger. It is WPOS= Ma-MRL/WSR, where WPOS is the maximum window position in time, Ma is the available memory (normally 10K, depends on the sample rate- 2GS = 40k), MRL is the main record length and WSR is the window sampling rate.
