On the DTG5000+ when would I use Pulse Generator Mode instead of Data Generator Mode?

Pulse Generator mode is used when a simple pulse pattern is needed. Defining a vector by vector pattern is not required and while in this mode extended features such as the Sequencer and Jitter generator are not available.
