How do I utilize the measurement features on a TDS3000C series oscilloscope?

There are many features and fuctionalities that come with making measurements on the TDS3000C and older model scopes. Many of these inlcude "gating" your measurements to a certain part of your waveform or the full screen or between cursors. Sometimes people don't know where the measurements are coming from and can get frustrating. This is where an ability to show "indicators" which are the cursors on screen lined up to where to scope is making the measurment as to identify your measurement location on screen comes in handy.
