In Windows 2000 or Windows XP click on Start select Run in the “Open: window” type cmd thenclick OK . At the prompt type ping&lt;space&gt;&lt;name or IP address&gt; of the networked computer used to test the connection. Verify the scope sends / receives four packets then at the prompt type exit to close the command window. Example of a successful test connection:
