Limit line testing in a Spectrum Analyzer is an important feature for a variety of applications. Examples include EMI Pre Compliance and Diagnostics, so that the Design Engineer can save pain and trouble by preventing EMI issues before a device gets to the testing lab, and RF transmitter characterization, where it is important that there are no spurs coming from a new design, or at least any spurs are below a particular limit. This video will show how to set up the RSA306 + SignalVu-PC to automatically measure these kinds of spurs, including with a CIPSR Peak filter.
