When I run an instrument Soft Front Panel or VISA interactive the cards in the second VXI mainframe are not noticed as VXI-GPIB instruments. How can I fix this problem?

When I run an instrument Soft Front Panel or VISA interactive the cards in the second VXI mainframe are not noticed as VXI-GPIB instruments. How can I fix this problem?

This problem is fixed by adding a configuration to the VISA Configuration editor.

1. Run the VISA Configuration Editor.
2. Select the ADD function.
3. Edit the Resource Name to be "VXI-GPIB1::0::INSTR".
4. Right click on Alias.
5. Select the correct GPIB Board (usually 0).
6. Select the correct GPIB Primary Address (example 2).
7. Select the correct GPIB Secondary Address (usually 0).
8. Click on OK.
9. Select from the File menu SAVE VISA CONFIGURATION.
